Introducing TOSH Team: Holly Beeston

"I immediately connected with the mission behind TOSH and hoped I’d find an opportunity to get involved- alas, here I am!" Meet Holly, the Newest Member of the TOSH Team!

After a super busy and rather hectic month here at TOSH, it's finally time to introduce our newest member of the TOSH Team - Holly!

Who are you?

Hello! I'm Holly, a (semi) recent photography graduate of UWE Bristol and budding creative writer & practitioner on all things art, community and lifestyle. In August, I started as Creative Marketing and Development Assistant, working alongside Cora for the next 6 months as we continue to develop our exciting programme of community events and creative business support, which I'm loving so far! Outside of TOSH, you'll likely find me reading, cooking, bobbing about in the sea, walking, or bouncing around Crow Spotter cafe where I work a couple of days a week as both a barista, and the Creative Director of our in-house journal, Current Bun.

What brings you to TOSH?

Having returned to the South Coast last summer, 2022, I find myself looking to explore my creative path in a way that integrates community with creativity - working in a space where art reaches a wider audience and builds connections across diverse groups of people. I'd also been keen to surround myself with like-minded creatives, and finding my place down here in the Boscombe crowd has allowed me to open myself up to new connections and creative opportunities. I first discovered TOSH back in March, when myself and the Crow Spotter boys came in to use the co-working space. I immediately connected with the mission behind TOSH and hoped I’d find an opportunity to get involved- alas, here I am! A true example of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What are you working on outside of TOSH?

Alongside my time here at TOSH, I am continuing with my creative work in collaboration with Crow Spotter. With our lovely new online journal, we've created a platform for our community to learn more about the message and the people behind Crow Spotter. Current Bun itself began with the idea of a newsletter, made to connect people within our community with cafe news, events, and stories. Since then it has grown to be so much more, with thought pieces on the local area, conversations with other independent businesses, nature stories, insights into cafe endeavours and events, and behind the scenes stories from the Crow Spotter journey. Stay tuned for the upcoming launch of our online journal! And keep your eyes peeled for the release of the Winter Edition, to be released early next year!
