In this workshop you’ll explore describing yourself as an artist and the work you make. By the end of the session, you should have a 150-word artist statement which you can use in applications.

OSC Professional Arts Presentation

This session is the second in a series of three OSC workshops on professional arts presentation:

Weds 12th March 6pm OSC: Writing about your Creative Work, with Laura Hopes

Thurs 3rd April 6pm OSC: Framing your Creative Work, with Artcetera

Each session is £10, or tickets can be purchased for all 3 sessions for £25 (offer available until 19/02/2025).

What to bring to this session

  • You’ll need to bring something you find easiest to write with – a laptop or notebook and pen. We will be writing about our work so it would be useful to have a few images available to share with others.

About the Artist

Laura Hopes is an artist, lecturer and researcher. Through extensive collaboration within the collective Still Moving and with academics and experts in diverse fields, her expanded practice encompasses writing, sculpture, conversations, film, performance, installation and multi-disciplinary exchange.

About OSC

OSC is a collaboration between BEAF Arts Co and TOSH (The Old School House) to support our community of artists and their artistic development at all stages of their career. OSC events and workshops are for artists interested in collaboration, skills development, community and networking.
