Event description

A practical deep-dive with Tom Wishart - improve or build on your website to showcase your artwork and reach the right audiences.

Thursday 21 May, 5.30pm-7pm at TOSH

Tickets: £5 donation

This session is a practical, straightforward introduction to building and improving your artist website, regardless of your technical experience.

The focus will be on creating a website that works as a strong digital gallery - something that not only showcases artwork beautifully, but also helps attract the right audience and generate enquiries or sales.

Tom will cover:

  • Structuring your site effectively
  • How to reflect your artistic style through design
  • Choosing the right platform depending on your confidence level - from simple drag-and-drop builders through to more flexible systems
  • Handling images so that artwork looks sharp, without slowing the site down

We’ll also touch on the basics of search engines (and AI search) in plain English, along with easy ways to make sure your website can be found by feature tools (like Google Search and AI assistants).

Leave with a clear understanding of what matters, so you can feel ready to take the next step for your websites.

There will also be optional 1–2–1 sessions available to book from May onwards for anyone who wants more tailored support after attending.
